Canada Olympic Park: Train like an Olympian, at least for a day: at this park, you can speed down slopes on a bobsled or soar over the 90-meter ski jump. Originally built to host Calgary's 1988 Olympics, C.O.P now offers fun activities all year long.
Calgary Zoo: This zoo is home to over 1000 animals from all over the world, including Kamala, the famous painting elephant, as well as to the Botanical Garden and a Prehistoric Park for dinosaur lovers.
Calgary Tower: Built in 1967, the Calgary Tower offers a 360 degree view of the city from 626 feet in the air. During the 1988 Winter Olympics a flame burned at the top of this famous building; now, its a major tourist attraction.
Heritage Park: Tour 180 historical exhibits and relive the past through a huge collection of working antiques and artifacts.
Glenbow Museum: Pick your destination and travel to another world at the Glenbow Museum. Learn the story of the Blackfoot people, try on shining armour as you explore the life of warriors, travel to Asia and Africa, and see one of the world's oldest known rocks all in a day's visit.
Fort Calgary: Fort Calgary brings history to life by telling the stories of the Mounted Police site, the settlement and the people of Calgary through dynamic interpretation and exciting exhibits. Devonian Gardens: Re-opening in 2012 after being fully renovated, these indoor gardens showcase tropical plant life and gorgeous water features, all in the midst of down-town Calgary's concrete "jungle". Kingsland Farmer's Market: Another local market, with a focus on organic and free-range produce and meats, and holistic health and body care. Banker's Hall: Situated in the heart of downtown Calgary, the twin towers of Bankers Hall cut an impressive figure against the skyline.
